Knittelfeld Sports and Leisure Center

The sports center, which was opened in 1977, is part of Knittelfeld's recreational facilities together with the swimming pool. The sports center serves primarily as a sports facility for local clubs, schools and institutions. In addition to a main grass playing field including a complete grandstand and spectator facility, which can hold around 3,000 spectators, there is also a running track including athletics facilities and an athletics field as well as a further grass playing field. A skate park has been installed for children and young people, which can be used free of charge. There is also the possibility to do sports on a synthetic all-weather field (44 x 70 m). Among other things, a basketball court, soccer goals and small field goals are available for this purpose. Furthermore, there is a spacious tennis court on the grounds of the sports center, which is operated by ATUS Knittelfeld.
